Gizelle has a New Stable Mate

Do you remember our big, black horse from last year's camp post? That is Gizelle. She is a percheron. In the fall another horse was brought to the stable. She went to a new family, but then was returned (for good reasons). Her name is Brandy and she is a palomino.

Meeting Brandy

Wow! Look at the new horse! She's so pretty.

And a sweet disposition too.

So nice.

Let's get her ready for riding.

Brandy

Brandy is a My Life As horse. She was rescued from Walmart due to her shabby condition. (Only a slight discount was given as they just send damages back to the manufacturer for credit.) Her box was a torn up.

Her mane and tail were a mess.

There was a hole in her coat above her one eye and her eyes had scratches on them (this didn't photograph well).

I was able to sew the holes with thread the color of her mane so she has a spot above her one eye that matches her blaze. With patience, I go the tangles out of her mane and tale, trimmed the uneven strands, and braided her tail. She is much prettier and happier now.
