Rainy Day at Camp

Friday was a rainy day at Camp Doll Diaries. Not storms, just a steady rain. The kind that sounds nice as it patters off the roof of the cabin or the leaves of the trees before hitting the ground. Grey all day, rain all day, at home a good day to read a book or take a nap. Here at camp...not the case.

We started the day with a great breakfast at the dining hall or cafeteria. Then, like at Hogwarts, they paired up the cabins to rotate between art and crafts. It's a good thing these two activities are in different buildings.

We headed to crafts where we made these really cute art aprons.
Then it was over to lunch. Perfect for a rainy day...tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches, salad, fruit, and pudding. :) There was no rush today, but after clean up we went to art and made a few new posters for the cabin.

Dinner was baked chicken, mashed potatoes, pea & carrots, salad, fruit, and brownies.

After dinner clean up all the cabins stayed in the dining hall and the counselors brought out the games. Board games, card games, dice games of all sorts.

Gus, Lanie, Kaya, and I played Pass the Pigs. It's kind of a dice game, but with two little pigs and you get points for how they land on the table. (Similar to Mississippi Marbles or Farkle).

Kirsten played Connect Four with Debbie.

It was a great day despite the rain.

Hope you had a lovely Friday and weekend!
Best wishes,
the Bison Girls
