Tea Review: Tea Forte English Breakfast

Traveling with Tea

Tea lovers almost always have tea with them when they travel. We packed a few favorites and new ones just in case we'd have time to do a review...like this one.

Tea Forte

The Tea Forte company has an extensive collection of tea blends available. Lady Grey gave us a great single steep sampler the other year for Christmas. I grabbed the English Breakfast and the tea tumbler for this review.

I'm not priming the tumbler, but I did insert the steeping basket and added the tea leaves.

Now we add the hot water.
While it steeps, I'll tell you about the add ins we packed. We brought some sugar in the raw.

And powdered milk.
Yes, powdered milk, not non-dairy creamer. Powdered milk is pretty good. It doesn't do anything with the drinking temperature of the tea, but will add the right milky notes to the brew.

English Breakfast tea is a full, robust flavored blend of black teas. It has malty undertones and aromas. I love the smell of English Breakfast tea.
It tastes good and strong with no add ins. You can leave it plain if you like.
I've added the sugar. The molasses still in the sugar blends well with the malty taste.
The powdered milk gives it a creamy color and taste, but not too creamy.
English Breakfast blends are really good all around. Full bodied like an Earl Grey, but without the bergamot. We really enjoy English Breakfast tea; it's our go to if Earl Grey isn't available.

Now to dodge the raindrops and enjoy our yummy tea on the screened in back porch.

Where is your favorite place to enjoy a good cup of tea?

So glad you stopped. Come again soon!
