Lunch with Sister Stereo

Support Your Local Businesses

Sister Stereo came to stay with us last weekend. It was so much fun having her with us. On her first day in town we went the Java Good Day Cafe for lunch.

It's a great place.
There are tables for eating and comfy chairs and sofas for relaxing. We tried out almost all of the sofas. It the front of the cafe is a comfy window nook.

Haley stood on a couple of poufs to check out the tea pots.

Kirsten checked out the baked goods. Everything looked fabulous.
Both Stereo and Xyra had the tasting plates. Stereo chose the Italian Salami sandwich, American salad, tomato bisque soup, and pumpkin roll. Xyra chose the chicken salad wrap, American salad, three potato soup, and brownie bread pudding. Yep, you read that right...brownie bread pudding. Super tasty. The menu changes. These choices are from the menu dated November 25 - December 16.

Lanie checked out the tea selection.
The cafe has bagged tea as well as loose leaf. Lanie chose the loose leaf ginger peach.  Kaya added the sweetener.
You can guess by the name that they also have a great selection of coffee, but we prefer tea.

At the back of the cafe is another nook. One of the sofas is big enough for all of us to sit together. We had the brownie bread pudding there.

Then we found a Hello Kitty activity book and did a word search.

Another great thing about the cafe is that is supports local artists, so it's a great place to find unique gifts. Lanie and I checked out the books and wood products.
Kirsten found ceramic mushrooms.
The walls are filled with local artwork. You can see some of it behind Kirsten.

This tea set was above a really neat jewelry display.

Xyra purchased some honey. She also bought a lip balm by the Vagabond Tabby.

We had a great time and are looking forward to going back again.

Do you have a local cafe? If you haven't been there yet, I highly suggest you give it a try. If you have been there, we'd love to hear you favorite thing about it.

Thank you for stopping. We hope you come back again.

Best wishes,

  1. Cool! I like tea too. :) Who is Stereo? I think that's cool that you brought all your dolls to a place like that. :)

    1. Stereo is a very dear friend of mine/Xyra's from Ursinus College. I asked about a month ago if I could do a photo shoot there and tried to choose an off peak time, so we wouldn't get in anyone's way.
