The Build: March 2017+

Building and Celebrations!

What to Build?

Finding unique ways to rebuild our monthly calendar is getting challenging. We've had a house theme since October or November last year and I guess we had cabin fever, even though the weather has been more spring than winter. So we decided to do something with this kit, Lego 40236.
It's the Valentine set. We didn't use a lot of the pieces.
Then we decided on another split calendar and Voilà!
We liked the idea of a park with cherry blossoms!
The birds are singing. The couple brought their dog and are having tea. The fountain is bubbling. Blue sky. My favorite part is the hedgehog heading over to join the bunnies.
Can you see our friends hiding in the tree?
I think this is my favorite so far.

Weather, Wow!

Yikes! I'm glad I brought the jacket I did! Didn't realize we were going to have a snow squall.
Of course, it could change soon. Still happy to have a warm coat with a hood.
[Xyra note: 10 minutes later the snow stopped, the sun came out, nothing stuck to the ground. Still cold and windy.]

Celebration Day!

Nonna introduced us to a great holiday! In Japan it is Hina-Matsuri or Hinamatsuri, Doll Festival or Girl Festival day.
On behalf of everyone here at Tea Time with Melody Q we wish you a very happy Hina-Matsuri!

You can find some great information and festival crafts - treats, books, and dolls - on Nonna's blog Mommy's Doll Club. We also found a few good links; check them out:

Our Dolls

Xyra and I decided to make paper dolls of ourselves using the Disney Yourself site. it's pretty cool. What do you think of our creations?

Tchau! Até mais tarde!

    1. Thank you! We plan to add more white and pink to the tree to make it look more like cherry blossoms.
