Day 31 - Costume

What did you dress up as today? We had fun picking out costumes, but someone is always a black cat. Who do you think it will be?

Haley

I wanted to be a ghost, but thought of a different way to do it. I'm really "a gaggle of giggling ghosts." (giggles) Julie Newman and her mom might get that reference.

[Haley's ghost costume is a scarf I found at Dollar Tree.]

Kaya

Meow! I'm the black cat. Come to think of it, I think I was the cat last year too.

Love this costume. The tail makes it perfect!

Kirsten

In honor of Molly's retirement I chose to mimic her Halloween costume of a hula girl.

[Kirsten's costume consists of pieces from Kanani's Luau and OG All Eyelets on Me outfits.]

Lanie

Magic rabbit popping out of a pumpkin here. It takes some imagination to see it just right, but I like that it's not obvious.

[Lanie's skirt and hat were clearance finds at Petsmart.]

Melody

Ever since I saw the AG Wood Fairy costume (now retired) I've wanted to be a fairy. This year is the year! Yay!

Aren't the wings fabulous?

[Melody's outfit is the My Life As fairy costume from Walmart.]

We stopped at Stauffer's to check out the pumpkins.

They have a lot.

Day 26 - Spider

Real spiders can be scary.
Yeah, we're not fond of Aragog's family.
But they have a purpose.
So we have a policy to leave them alone as long as they aren't moving toward us.
Then we try to capture and release to the outside.
The little ones are much easier to ignore than those closer to Aragog.
(all shudder/shiver)
It's the eyes...
and the pincers click, click, click.
(giggling)

Day 30 - Candy

Who doesn't love candy?

During the holidays my favorite special candy is Russel Stover's chocolate covered marshmallow. The pumpkins are available now. I don't like all the flavors. These are the best: milk chocolate covered marshmallow, dark chocolate covered marshmallow, milk chocolate covered chocolate marshmallow, and dark chocolate covered raspberry cream. YUM! 
A tall glass of cold milk is the best to balance the sweetness.

Do you like caramel creme bull's eyes? They're yummy too. A cup of hot tea is perfect with sticky candies - melts the sugar off your teeth right away.

A great pile of treats.

Day 28 - Candle

I went the fun route with the different candles in our house.

A few LEDs and a few real wick.

The medium LED changes color.

The one has a wooden wick so it sounds like a campfire.

Day 26 - Witch

Yard

This witch goes in the yard. She's funny, but she has a cute kitty.

Books

These are our favorite witch themed books.

Of course, Harry is included.
Even though..."You're a wizard, Harry."
(giggling)

TV and Movie

Our favorite witch themed movies and TV shows are Bewitched; Sabrina, the Teenage Witch...
Did you know Sabrina was based on a character from the Archie comic book series?
Really?! Cool!
We also like Charmed; Wizards of Waverly Place; Once Upon a Time; Harry Potter; Practical Magic; Bell, Book, and Candle; The Witches; 
Hocus Pocus is kind of funny...
The Halloweentown movies are on this month.
No true horror items on our list. Just the fun stuff.
We want to check out the Good Witch on the Hallmark channel - Gramma Enne likes it.
