Yes, August
Hi! Lanie here!We totally dropped the ball last month. Kept brainstorming ideas then couldn't quite get them in brick form...just terrible. So we jumped right on August and I'm here to reveal it.
ARGH!
Do you see what I see? Hang on for a quick adjustment. (bricks clicking)
Whew! That's better.
We were so upset about July we put the wrong month on top. Luckily the months are double sided.
So here we have a railroad and train with conductor, landscaping, and passengers.
Although, I'm not sure where they plan to sit. (giggles) Looks like that's what Enda is thinking too. (giggles)
The landscaping was fun.
I think the conductor is keeping the dogs from digging in the flower beds.
We even put in a crossing signal. It's not quite right, but not horrible.
The locomotive isn't actually an official Lego set,
buuuuttttt the coupler part does fit with a Lego part...(pensive tone)...so maybe it really is Lego, but with marketing specific packaging. I have to look at it when we get home today. The loco is a set Gramma Enne and Opa Hans sent ups from the Nevada State Railroad Musuem. Thank you!
From this angle it looks like the conductor is trying to get the bird to buy a ticket. (giggles)
Here is an overhead view.
And here, Edna decided to get out of the shot. (giggles)
So there you have it; our August calendar build.
What do you think? What's your favorite part? I like how we expanded the theme and made the entire calendar a vehicle. 😉
See you again soon!
Note: Tea Time with Melody Q is not affiliated with American Girl or LEGO. All bricks featured in creating the August calendar were already a part of our collection. No purchase is required or suggested to enjoy the post.
