Later we'll go over to Nana Kestrel's for pork and sauerkraut.
Do you have a special food you eat on New Year's Day?
Looking forward to spending 2015 with you.
Best wishes for today and always!
Happy new year! I had toast for my first breakfast of the year :P

Toast is good. Plain or with jelly, jam, etc.?
DeleteMy husband is 1/4 German, so of course we had pork and sauerkraut! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYay to the pork & sauerkraut!
DeleteHappy New Year Melody and friends! I had my annual New Year's Eve pajama party. We watch The Twilight Zone marathon and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Since there were 16 of us (and 4 dogs), my mom gave us cereal this morning; Frosted Flakes. She always makes black beans and rice. She says we eat this so we'll have a (what's that word, Mom?) a prosperous New Year.
ReplyDeleteI did see there was a Twilight Zone marathon on. Love that show. Although a couple really creep me out. Black beans and rice...cool. I've read that black beans, lentils, and black-eyed peas resemble coins and prosperity. With 16 at the party I bet it was easy to stay awake.
DeleteWe stayed up until midnight! All you have to do is eat lots of cookies and then watch the ball drop on TV! ;) Our dolls stayed awake and talked until after midnight. :) They love their New Year's Eve dresses! You can see them on my sister's blog:
