Happy New Year!

2015 Begins!

Haley, Kaya, Melody, 2 or all

We made it to midnight!
Did you?
If not, don't worry...
Kirsten and Lanie crashed too. (giggling)

First Breakfast

For our first breakfast of the new year...
What did you have for your first breakfast of the year?

Then we watched the Mummers Parade until the Rose Parade started.
We'll switch back to the Mummers when the Rose is over.
Later we'll go over to Nana Kestrel's for pork and sauerkraut.
Do you have a special food you eat on New Year's Day?

Looking forward to spending 2015 with you.

Best wishes for today and always!

  1. Happy new year! I had toast for my first breakfast of the year :P

    ~ Mint

  2. My husband is 1/4 German, so of course we had pork and sauerkraut! Happy New Year!

  3. Happy New Year Melody and friends! I had my annual New Year's Eve pajama party. We watch The Twilight Zone marathon and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Since there were 16 of us (and 4 dogs), my mom gave us cereal this morning; Frosted Flakes. She always makes black beans and rice. She says we eat this so we'll have a (what's that word, Mom?) a prosperous New Year.

    1. I did see there was a Twilight Zone marathon on. Love that show. Although a couple really creep me out. Black beans and I've read that black beans, lentils, and black-eyed peas resemble coins and prosperity. With 16 at the party I bet it was easy to stay awake.

  4. We stayed up until midnight! All you have to do is eat lots of cookies and then watch the ball drop on TV! ;) Our dolls stayed awake and talked until after midnight. :) They love their New Year's Eve dresses! You can see them on my sister's blog:

    1. Lots of cookies would help. :)
Glad to hear you had fun. will check out those dresses.
