Grace and Kaya Work Together

Music Inspired Post

Okay, I think she should be by the fender so we can see her.
Like this?
Yeah.
Yeah, I see that does look right.
Now raise her hands.
Got it.
Now I think just one hand. What do you think?
Sure. That works. I wish I could tilt her arm out to the side like Vanna White.
That would be wonderful, but...
Now the hard part, she needs to be in the car.
Yikes! Okay.
Well, that's the behind the scenes.
Now check out our song inspired post.

George Ezra - Shotgun

...If you need me you know where I'll be
I'll be riding shotgun
Underneath the hot sun.
Feeling like a someone.
We got two in the front
Two in the back
Sailing along
And we don't look back.

Xyra's Notes

  • I always loved Maddie's song inspired posts. Her dolls always "danced" more than acted out the song. Sadly, she switched her blog to private access and limited her circle to a small, select group. I don't know if she still reads other blogs or not, but if she does I hope she sees this and knows she is still an inspiration to me.
  • No real video footage was taken. 😂
  • The expression "riding shotgun" dates back to the time when a guard wielding a shotgun rode next to the driver protecting the coach from highwaymen, bandits, and other hazards. While the guard position dates way back (before King Richard the Lionheart); the shotgun term only started to be used after the shotgun was invented. The earliest coined date is 1905.

We were inspired by the music as well as other bloggers like Maddie who used to regularly do photo shoot posts based on song lyrics.

  1. I love song-inspired posts, too! This was so cute. Where did you get the mini doll-sized car? It's adorable!

    1. Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I have had the car since I was in middle school...eons ago. I'm pretty sure we bought it at Ames (which no longer exists) maybe KMart. I used to use my other min dolls in it that were much more petite. These have the right body type, but the legs are too long; they were not comfortable at all. :-D
