We Remember
Our town celebrates Memorial Day with a service and a parade. This morning the service was held at the Red Hill Veterans Memorial. Then the parade ran from Pennsburg to East Greenville. Recently the towns have added Memorial flags on the utility poles picturing a hometown heroes. These made the parade extra special.Later in the day we visited the Red Hill Veterans Memorial, when there weren't as many people around. Mel was last to head back to the car.
She stopped about half way and turned back.
Walked up the the wreath and started placing something on the ground in front of it. Then she joined the rest of us to head home.
Later we found out she placed pennies at the memorial; paying her respect and ours in remembrance of the fallen.
We hope you had an enjoyable and reflective Memorial Day.
What did you do on this special day?
Best wishes,
