Strawberry Festival

New Goshenhoppen UCC

That's pronounced gosh-en-hop-en; just like the folk festival we go to in August and the Christmas Market in December. It's one of our local churches and they held their annual strawberry festival last weekend. I really wanted to go and Xyra found out her one friend was going to be there as a vendor, she wanted one of her candles! So we went! Yay!

We arrived during the auction. It was interesting to see the donations and hear how much they raised for the Sunday School.

Then Xyra from the candles and talked for a bit with her friend.

I had a great time on the playground.

Then we spotted Lady Apple and had lunch with her. Very tasty.

We were all headed out after that.

I spotted a neat train ride.

You know, we forgot to have dessert at the festival. WHAT?! I know, right?! So we made up for and stopped at Stauffer's Produce Stand to get some of their berries.
Super tasty! I shared the strawberry tops with Lulu, Nutmeg, and Razzi. They loved them!

Do you like strawberries? If yes, what is your favorite way to eat them? If no, what is your favorite fruit?

Do you have festivals or community events like this in your area?

See you again soon!

  1. Gramma Enne here. I miss the fruit festivals from eastern PA. We don't have them in NV. Also love strawberries, sliced with sugar to top ice cream or angel food cake. The berries in the photo looked yummy!

  3. There is a strawberry festival this weekend in the town where I used to work, I'm probably going to head over and see if anyone has any doll clothes for sale. I got some very cute outfits there a couple of years ago. (which reminds me, I need to go to the ATM before I go, just in case!)

  4. Love the little cat plate in the picture with the delicious looking deep red strawberries. Great post; Lanie is appropriately dressed for the festival and looks adorable.
