The Build: July 2017

Continuing a Theme

Last fall and winter we incorporated a house theme in our Lego calendar builds. That trend shifted in March. Cabin fever made us break the mold and a new theme grew. (giggles) We took a break with it last month, but brought it back...the tree!

Most people have picnics or go to picnics on Independence Day, so we thought a great picnic scene would be cool. 

Emma has her snack cart.

Then we added balloons and tried to get the calendar rows to resemble the US flag.

From this angle you get a better look at the picnic blanket and sandwiches and birds in the tree.

We added a few mini figures to hang out with the Friends dolls.

No animals in this one because they are hiding from fireworks, so we kept them safely inside.

So would you bring your own picnic or visit the snack cart? 

Or both? (giggles)

Oh, in looking back at the previous builds, I noticed we've lost track of turns. But I made a list 

and will make sure the other girls get a chance. We still have five builds left for 2017. Wait. WHAT?! Only five! Yikes!
