Belated National Pet Day

It was Yesterday

Grace, Kaya, Kirsten, Lea, Melody

Hi! We're a bit late in wishing you a Happy National Pet Day.
Seems we got it backwards since today is National D.E.A.R. Day.
That's Drop Everything and Read.

Well, anyway, last night we made sure we paid extra attention to our pets.

Walking the dogs...most of them.

It's not easy to take a selfie when covered in cats. (giggles)

Mine is a little dark, but we were playing inside.

Lanie gave the bunnies a bit of an extra romp but was out of camera range. 😞 And we didn't forget our bigger animals; they got treats too.

Did you spend extra time with your pets yesterday? Give them an extra treat or squeeze or play a little longer or go for a longer walk?

Oh, and what are you currently reading? Or where is your favorite place to read?

Best wishes,

  1. Love the cat selfie! I am currently reading Crenshaw, and just finished "The Hate U Give" which I recommend, and urge, people to read (probably 8th gr and up.). Brianna just finished "Saving Sky"

    1. Hi! how is Creshaw? It looks interesting. Will have to look into he others.

  2. Crenshaw is very good. If you have seen the film Harvey you might feel a connection there. I like the narrator's voice which reminds me a little of another favorite book "Deliver Us from Normal." I love a narrator who is so honest it is a little painful.

    1. Good to know. Thank you for the details. It's been quite some time since I've seen Harvey.
