Kirsten Heads North Part 2

Maine Part 1

Wiscasset, ME

Wiscasset Woods Lodge

When you're away from home you want to stay in someplace comfortable, nice, and fun. That would be Wiscasset Woods Lodge. Grace and Kaya told me what to expect, but even with their thoughts and photos...in person is so much better.

If you saw yesterday's post, you know we arrived when it was twilight and dark, so no photos. These are from the morning before we headed out to the Wiscassett, Waterville, and Farmington Railway. (giggles) Seems this is like a long distance Coolspring trip; Maine equals WW&F. (giggles) More about that tomorrow.
So the lodge has a few different sections. Cottage rooms and motel rooms. The motel section looks like an apartment building to me. While the cottages are little townhouses. There are 7 pet friendly rooms too! Franz and Xyra usually get a cottage room. This is our cottage.
I think on of these time Xyra hopes to use the hiking trail or fire pit. they have s'mores kits for sale in the main lodge.

So many fun things line the driveway.

Anyone for corn hole, also known as bean bags?
The summer flowers are beautiful right now.
Oh. My. goodness! Breakfast was wonderful! Baked goods; muffins, gingerbread. The gingerbread is outstanding. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, cobbler, french toast bake, baked oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, and so much more! If you leave hungry, you're nuts.

Which kind of room would you like? What is your favorite photo?

Thank you for stopping. Hope you have a nice Tuesday!

  1. Dear Kirsten, it sounds like you are off to a great vacation. To answer your question, I would like a room with a big bed and a nice bathroom so I could take a hot shower.
I am looking forward to hearing more about your vacation.
    Regards, Ms. Dorothy
