Fun Friday: Grace Factoids

Get to Know Grace

Hi! It's Friday! I hope you had a great week. We're working on adding a profile page to Tea Time with Melody Q and hope you will be able to help up narrow down our profile photos. Most profile pages give stats and favorites. We're following that pattern.
My full name is Grace Thomasina Silverleaf and my birthday is January 22, 2005. There are books about a girl who looks like me; her birthday is September 17, 2005.
My pet is a French bulldog named Bonbon; she's off napping somewhere.
I like to bake, hike, read, and watch movies in my spare time.

My Favorites

Animal: French bulldog, of course.
Book: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. See my review here.
Color: Burgundy or cerise
Food: Croissant. Ah, that buttery, flakey yumminess! With some raspberry preserves...(sighs)
Flower: Unbleached. (giggles) Actually, I really love forget-me-nots. I know, they're blue not red. Oh well.
Instrument: Mandoline. (giggles) I don't play an instrument, but this is one handy kitchen tool.
Movie: Oh, my gosh! I love, just love, A League of Their Own! Have you seen it? I can't move from the screen when it's on.
Number: Hmmm, 9. It's really fun to say in French...neuf.
Rock group: This is a tough one. The Smiths, The Beacons, The Runaways, The Donnas, The Strokes, The Black Keys, The Cranberries, The Lumineers, The Decemberists, The Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless. (laughing) Can you tell what they have in common? (laughing) oh, and Selena Gomez.
Sport: Um, let's think...baseball!
Tea: This one doesn't show up in a lot of profiles, but I think for us it's a must. My favorite teas are Paris and Paris Breakfast.
TV Show: The Great British Baking Show and Chopped.

I think that's it. Did I leave anything out? Feel free to ask me a question in the comments below. Make sure it's polite and appropriate.

Hey, and please let me know which photo is your favorite. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite. Thank you! Merci!

À bientôt!

  1. The girls here think you need to check out The Struts, that's the new favorite band in this house! LOVE the t-shirt by the way. ;)

    1. Oh, I forgot to list them. I LOVE The Struts! They've given great interviews and live performances on our favorite radio station (93.3 WMMR) a couple of times! :-) Thank you for the reminder!

  2. So fun to read about all your favorite things. I also LOVE The Great British Baking Show. The competitors on that are so much nicer and more fun than Masterchef (one of the few baking shows I watch). Do you have Netflix? I would recommend Zumbo's Just Deserts on Netflix. It's really good.

I love your skirt. Red is such a pretty color with your dark hair.

    1. Hi! Thank you! Have you seen Masterchef Canada? It's sooo much better than the American one. We don't have Netflix, but I looked it up online - looks like a good show. Have you seen Sweet Genius? That's a good one too.

    2. I have not seen either show, but will now have to cook them up. Thanks for the suggestion, Grace!

  3. Oh haha I love the Great British Baking show too! I also love her middle name, like how you transformed her last name.

  4. What about The Monkees? They're a favorite at our house!

We haven't seen Masterchef Canada but if it's on Netflix - we could all binge it together one day. LOVE Bake Off with the old gang (which I've never called by it's real name apparently).

    1. Hahaha! Yes, yes! I do love The Monkees too! You know how it is when you have to answer a question, you miss things. Xyra showed us the concert program from seeing The Monkees with Herman's Hermits at Valley Forge. We were all really sad when Davey passed.

We watch Masterchef Canada on the Cooking Channel, but it might be on Netflix.

  5. I think this is a wonderful idea. I think I like the last picture the best. So great to come up with your own personal profile for each of your dolls. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Rain...I love rainy days but sometimes enough is enough. We have cloudy skies here today in Cape May, warm tomorrow but then days of rain to come. I want snow!

    1. Thank you. Not an original idea, so I tip my hat to the other bloggers who inspired this addition to the blog.

One of the DJs I listen too just tossed out the word "nor'easter" and I cringed. Oh, well. 'Tis the season. :-)
