What's so funny?
Skye has popped into a ball again and Finella is chasing Heather over my legs. It tickles.
(giggles) They are so adorable! I can't wait for Melody to be home and meet them. She'll be surprised.
Yes, she will. I can't believe we've been able to keep the secret from her while she was away.
Let me hold Skye for a bit.

They have fun even though they were not raised together.

Yes, with those tiny fangs and the quills on their backs battles could be brutal.

Heather seems happy to visit Finella and Skye, but likes her own home better.

Now what else do we surprise Melody with when she arrives home?
We now have 3 little hedgehogs. Aren't they cute! The AG hedgehogs are bigger than the MLA one.
The habitat is nicer in some respects. It's it bigger, but still not quite the right size. The ramps are too steep.
At least there are air holes in the roof (unlike the hamster habitat). You get a built in water bottle as well.
The little balled hedger fits under the stick arch. The walking hedger barely fits on the top platform.
The walking hedger kind of fits on the hammock.
I like these two pieces can be moved around. I'm not sure what is in the food bowl, bit id doesn't look like anything on the food list I found.
The arch really only goes in with the opening facing out, otherwise the hedgers can't get into it.
*Hedgehogs are not social animals so there should be only one in the set. Of course, this could be one hedgehog in two poses, balled and walking. If that is the case then there should be a third pose in a complete ball, no face showing.
You can see the size difference between the two brands. The really cool thing about the AG hedgehogs-the undersides are fuzzy or flocked. Unlike the MLA hedger who is all plastic. The feet and faces on all three are adorable!
Heather would be very happy in this habitat. She fits in all areas easier than the AG ones.
Overall, I love this little set and am glad I added it to our pet collection.

- According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, hedgehogs are not permissible as pets. 😔 The little critters are not native to the area or even the continent, so could be dangerous to native species if unworthy pet parents let them out to fend for themselves in the wild.
- That means we really do not have pet hedgehogs, and will remain happy collecting ones like this.
