Lazing on a Summer Afternoon

Lower Temp and Humidity - Yay!

Kaya, Lea, Melody, 2 or more

Out and About at a Local Park

Centennial Park. This looks like a nice place to walk.
Sure. Some sun, some shade.
Let's go! To the right!
(laughing)
That was a long loop!
I'm glad the last part is in the shade.
I see our car from here.
Let's check out the bleachers first.
They're kind of hot.
We won't be long. Pose!
Mel, What were you looking at?
Squirrel!
(laughing)

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Grace, Haley, both

The house looks great!
Yeah, I think so too.
Tea and cookies for Rebecca and felicity.
Holly and Tama are hanging out talking and surfing the net.
Too bad the ceilings are too short for Madeline.
Well, she's used to old, French buildings.
Yeah, but estates not cottages.
(giggling)
Well, she's doing okay hanging out on the lounge chair.
We need to get a ladder to reach the third floor.
(giggling) Yeah! One of those library ladders would be cool.
Remember we need to pack things up when we're done.
Right. Why again?
Invader!
Wow! Glad we had everything cleaned up!
Well, almost everything.
(laughing)

How do you spend your summer afternoons?

Best wishes,

Model Monday: Grace #3

Looking Cool

Nonna dropped by the other day. She had been to AG Place in Nashville and was our personal shopper. She brought back Melody's new glasses, a new tee shirt (you'll see that later), and a purchase with purchase outfit. I could NOT wait to try it on! Then we headed out to the garden.

THANK YOU, Nonna!

Outfit Details

Skirt, hoodie, beaded bracelet: Summer Hoodie set (AG PwP July 2016).
Charm bracelet: My own (AG retired GOTY 2015)

Xyra's Notes

  • Hoodie: Opens in the back up to the hood; not too hard to put on but could be challenging for a very small person. There is a gap at the base of the hood before the Velcro starts for long hair go through.
  • Skirt: Very cute. Easy on and off. Some might think it is too short.
  • Bracelet: Fun, but if you have OCD the bead order might could cause some tension.
  • Colors: Love these colors. All represented will coordinate well with the new separates.

A bientot!

Green Thumb Endeavors Update 3+

Continued TLC

Hi! I know Lanie has been your garden host, but Coco and I decided to check on our own. Lanie agreed a new perspective might be nice for everyone. So here I am! Or here we are!

Morning

That brilliant sunlight behind us is the sunrise that hits the backyard. It's lovely; sometimes blinding. The plants seem to like it too. Coco, don't eat the lettuce.
Check out the petunia! There is a second blossom on the petunia.
The lettuce is kind of spindly. Not sure what is causing the brown spots on the lettuce.
We've gathered what we could. Maybe a salad for one of us, but I'm thinking Lulu, Nutmeg, and Razzi would like to share it.
These tomatoes are almost ready to eat. I think tomorrow.

The Plus

Check out how we tweaked the Lego calendar.
See how Andrea and Olivia are under the umbrella? And the added water? We shifted the "waves" a bit too.

Evening

Guess what I found when I got home? The other blossom opened!
Did you notice how the natural light changed from morning to evening?

Tack så mycket for stopping by. Hope you have a great day!

New Month Build: August 2016

The Dog Days of Summer

Grace, Haley, Kaya, Kirsten, Lanie, Lea, Melody, 2 or more

Brainstorming

I miss the beach.
Let's do a beach theme this month.
I like it.
What colors do we need?
The blues for sky and water.
Sun colors...
Red.
Orange.
Yellow.
(laughing)
Oh, and the light green for dune grass.
Lots of tan for sand.
What else do we have beachy?
We're searching...
What about Olivia's smoothie cart?
That could work.
Parts of the bakery stand?
Hmmm...
YES! I have it!
What?!
Emma's Lifeguard Station!
(Cheering)
We should have a couple of dogs on the beach too.
I like it! Which dogs?
This one and...the pug.
Cool!
Let's get to it!

The Build

[Building noises and comments]
That's not going to work. I'll put it away. This is good. We need more room. This won't go either. Packing that bit up. Ooo. I like this! Birds! We need birds! Someone needs to be on the beach with the dogs. Who is dressed for warm weather? Olivia...and Andrea!
(Cheers)
Hi! Is this the new calendar?
Yeah!
Looks awesome! Sorry I missed the fun. Photo shoot, you know.
(laughing) Yeah, we do!
I love the theme. Looks like a great day at the beach.
(Took the flash photo over the no flash. Too bright seemed better than too dark this time.)

Lego Selfie

This Emma is not dressed for the beach. (giggles)

Minor Tweaking

We decided you couldn't see Olivia so we put her over with Andrea and the pups. We also plan to add a bit more water around the lifeguard station.

What's your favorite part of our new month design?

Best wishes,

Model Monday: Lea #2

Hot and Humid Summer

The last few weeks have been super hot and humid around here with what the weather forecasters call "real feel" in the high 90s and 100s. Don't despair for my feet! We actually took these photos shortly before sunset on one of the very few days we were in the mid 80s and overcast. So the patio didn't get really hot.
