Coolspring June 2022

Coolspring Power Museum June Expo 2022!

Sorry for the Delay

Wow!  I can't believe a month has passes since our trip to Coolspring Power Museum.

And you'll see the weather sure is different!

Star and I are here on the patio and I figured I'd work on my post.

So here we go.

Mission Accomplished

For Now

The trip started out feeling more like now, July, than June.
Thursday Flo and Sophia came.  The four of us headed to Punxsutawney to find our last Phil!
The one on the IUP campus was moved inside.  And we found it!

Yay!

Seems we know our way around town by if there is a Phil nearby.
It was great to see Sophia again.  And even better to finish the Phil quest with her.  Although, we think new ones may be on the horizon.

It was really busy so I did most of my exploring on Saturday.  You can tell by my outfit, the temperature changed!

Someone donated this great display wagon.  If only we had space for it at home.

There is always something new to see.

I tried driving the cooler.

Of course, I spent time with the Hornsby-Ackroyd DeLaVergne.

Then all too soon it was Sunday and we were packed up to go home.

Thank you for stopping by!  We love when you visit!  Hope to see you again before the end of the month!

Have a great day!

A Volunteer Saturday

Many Hands Make Easy Work

Oh. My. Goodness!  I can't believe it is June 30!!  Time just flies by!  And it looks like we had one post on May 1 and now one on June 30.  Yikes!  And my volunteer Saturday actually happened before Easter.  😲

Back on April 2 Little Zion hosted a volunteer event partnered with Caring for Friends to pack 500 snack bags.  While waiting for the truck and our guide to arrive we started another project...filling Easter eggs.

Once the truck arrived, we set up the lines, opening the boxes of snack supplies.

Then I helped Xyra.  She was the runner to keep the supplies up and the lines moving.  The team worked so well we packed all 500 bags in an hour!  There weren't a lot of us either; only about 20.

Check out this pile of cardboard!  The contents of all these boxes are bagged up and will be given to 500 people so they have healthy snacks to help them through the day or week.

We took all the cardboard home and put in the recycling bin.

It was a great day!  Do you like to volunteer?  What kinds of things do you do to help others?

Thank you for stopping.  Your continued support means a lot to us during these blogging lulls.

Warmest wishes!  Stay safe and well!
