Ravenclaw Blue
Hi! Xyra received a great Hedwig mug for Christmas. It came with color changing hot chocolate and marshmallows. We had to try it out. It turned blue, so we figured the colors available would be the house colors.
Grace, Pen, and I drew straws to see who would show off our Ravenclaw pride and review the drink.
So here's the breakdown. When we poured the powder into the cup it was pure white. Xyra said it reminded her of the powder in pixie stix or fun dip. I think those are some kind of vintage candy. (giggles)
Then we poured in the boiling water. Immediately, as the power turned to liquid, it turned robin's egg blue. Very pretty. Of course, we added marshmallows. It's "hot chocolate" after all. Looks great!
Now for the taste test!
Um, blech!
So...definitely not hot chocolate. Not even the white chocolate type. Was worth the try, but we won't go searching for that! Real hot chocolate and hot cocoa for the win.
