Color Changing Hot "Chocolate"

Ravenclaw Blue

Hi! Xyra received a great Hedwig mug for Christmas.  It came with color changing hot chocolate and marshmallows.  We had to try it out.  It turned blue, so we figured the colors available would be the house colors.

Grace, Pen, and I drew straws to see who would show off our Ravenclaw pride and review the drink.

So here's the breakdown.  When we poured the powder into the cup it was pure white.  Xyra said it reminded her of the powder in pixie stix or fun dip.  I think those are some kind of vintage candy. (giggles)

Then we poured in the boiling water.  Immediately, as the power turned to liquid, it turned robin's egg blue. Very pretty.  Of course, we added marshmallows.  It's "hot chocolate" after all.  Looks great!

Now for the taste test!

Um, blech!

So...definitely not hot chocolate.  Not even the white chocolate type.
Was worth the try, but we won't go searching for that!  Real hot chocolate and hot cocoa for the win.

Have a great day!  Stay safe and warm!

Groundhog Day 2023

To See or Not To See

That is the question.

Just a few of us tuned in to see our favorite groundhog.

And revisit one of our favorite towns in PA.
Looking at the bundled up crowd, I'm always happy to be watching from home.

A couple nice bands entertaining the crowd.
I wish Junior's Grades would get invited one year.
That would be fun!
(giggles)  The Punxsy crowd needs Jonah on sound this year.
Yeah, the balance is off and I can't understand the singer.

It was nice to see Governor Shapiro and his family.
Ooo!  It's time!

Such a cutie!
And...
He saw his shadow!

Happy Groundhog Day!

Our Tenth Blogiversary

Ten Years, Man!  Ten!

Celebrating Epiphany at Little Zion

Hi, all!  Pen here reporting from Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford PA.

Today we are celebrating Epiphany or Three Kings Day.

This is the last Sunday the church will be decorated for Christmas!

I love how the church looks.
Aren't these ornaments cool?

They're all symbols that represent Jesus.

Chibi Cafe Co Tasting Event

We have an awesome place to get bobba tea in our town.

It's called Chibi Cafe Co.

They have a great manga library that you can look at while you're visiting.

I found Chococat!

The tastings were set up in the library.  We got to sample four.  Heartless and Uncle Iroh are black tea based.

We also tasted two thai bobba teas. Chibi Ice Tea and Chibi Milk Tea.

Each month they have specialty drinks and a special waffle.

Xyra got "The King."

Uncle Iroh was our favorite.  Then Heartless, Chibi Ice,and Chibi Milk.

Next time we come we're getting the Purple Elixr.  It's gorgeous!

Mini Art Gallery at ArtFusion 19464

Aren't these pieces great?

Yeah!  I'm not sure which is my favorite.

There is one in there that says Penelope on it.

Cool!
Maybe we could make something to donate?!

We could try!
