Small Gatherings

Are Fun Gatherings!

Sometimes you need to branch out and visit someone to refresh your outlook.
It's best to do this with someone who has also been keeping a small bubble over the past year.
That's what we did this weekend.  A trip to Nonna's for lunch; sort of a belated celebration of Hina Matsuri.
We even had a tent set up around the picnic site.  There were a couple patio heaters and a fire pit.  They were on the other side.
Definitely needed the fire pit. (giggles)
We had hot dogs, salad, soft pretzels, hot chocolate, soda, and s'mores!
Yummy!
It was really nice to hang out with Joy, Kit, and Lindsey.

The Humans Had Fun Too

When I was little my friends and I would visit each other to play Barbies. Two of us had the dream townhouse, another had the camper, another the plane.  It was a lot of fun to share those moments and big sets. That feeling hasn't changed.  Nonna, Notea, and I did some un-boxing of a few of her larger sets.  All three are Our Generation sets:  Choco-Tastic hot chocolate stand, Picnic Table, and Retro Hot Dog Cart.

Oh. My. Goodness! What fun! And, oh, so much packaging and tape to get through.  I kind of understand it to keep all the little pieces from sticky fingered shoppers.

All I can say is if you are collecting larger sets these are outstanding!  Some fun facts:
  • Hot Chocolate Stand:  Two sizes of hot chocolate - large mug and small tea cup.  The contents can be removed so you can play that they actually finished the drink!  For a closer look, check out Say Hello to My Little Friends.
  • Picnic Table:  I love that you can build your burger as you like it.
  • Retro Hot Dog Stand:  Both sides of the little bin slide open.  The 4 condiment trays pop out of the cart and can be stored in the fridge part.  The roller is battery operated.
To quote Ferris, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Had a great day!  So much fun!

Best wishes!  Stay safe and well!
